  1. 1. Prices/Pages of Music Magazines By Kieran Bradley
  2. 2. NME NME price per issue is 2.20 on the other hand the payment can be bought for a year for 74.99, this installation out at 1.47 an issue so the strategy is to convince the users to buy more issues for a cheaper prince than a one off purchase. The NME magazine on the 2nd November 2013 consisted of 66 pages.
  3. 3. Kerrang Kerrang magazine is distributed for 7.50 a month which works out at 1.88 an issue. This again is a exceptionally cheap price for a magazine which is the reason why the magazine is triumphant in the present music magazine market. The Kerrang magazine on the 11th January 2014 consisted of 64 pages.
  4. 4. Vibe Vibe magazine is a magazine that links to the initiative of my magazine. So it would be perfect to have a comparable price range to this as this magazine is spirited and competitive in the market. Vibe magazine sells for 9.95 for 6 issues which works out at 1.60 a magazine, which I feel is very cheap for a magazine. The December 2013 issue of VIBE consisted of 74 pages.
  5. 5. Rolling Stone Rolling stone magazine is also an additional famous, renowned and popular music magazine. Currently you can subscribe to the magazine for 19.95 a year but you can be expecting to pay up to 4.95 per issue so once more this magazine is trying to persuade the audience to subscribe to the magazine as this means the company will have constant income from subscribers. The January 2014 version of rolling stone consists of 56 pages.
  6. 6. Conclusion Overall, I feel as though this research has been very useful as I have now seen that my magazine could be priced between 1.60 to 4.95 and I have also seen that offering a cheaper subscription can help to make the magazine more competitive. This means that I should have a price around 2-3 and offer a subscription so that my magazine can be triumphant in the current music magazine market. Also my music magazine will be consisting of around 50 pages as the magazines I have researched are all around that figure.
