Reception  Home Learning    Week starting: Monday 29th July 2020      

                   Dear Reception children and parents,

I hope you had a lovely weekend. Thank you for emailing me your home learning reports and all the lovely photos of some of the children’s work.

Google classroom has some nice activities. If you complete them, turn them in please.

PE with Mr Ford: Mr Ford would like me to remind you all that he has now set up a variety of PE activities you can access via his youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ9FoNO_PgD-m_h--KE9pTw  We would love have your Olympic scores and any pictures of the children doing PE. 

Below is this week’s home learning. Remember you don’t need to cover everything. Suggested times are in brackets alongside each activity, but you know your child, so change this if necessary. You can do the activities in any order and don’t forget to allow time for lots of learning breaks.

You can come and change your reading books every Tuesday from 12.00-2.00pm.

I will be changing the reading books in school on Tuesday. Come and get your reading books. It would be nice to see you.

Safari

The Safari exercise is a great way to help kids learn mindfulness. This activity turns an average, everyday walk into an exciting new adventure.

Tell your kids that you will be going on a safari: their goal is to notice as many birds, bugs, creepy-crawlies, and any other animals as they can. Anything that walks, crawls, swims, or flies is of interest, and they’ll need to focus all of their senses to find them, especially the little ones (Karen Young, 2017).
