Method 1.Preheat the grill. If you prefer, cook these in an oven preheated to 180°C, fan oven 160°C, gas mark 4 for 8-10 minutes.2.Spread 1 tsp of tomato purée over one

side of each pitta bread. Sprinkle with the dried mixed

herbs. 3.Arrange the cucumber and halved tomatoes

on the pittas to resemble 'eyes', halved tomatoes for

the 'noses', the sliced pepper to look like

'eyebrows' and 'mouths', and the grated cheese for

‘hair’ or ‘beards’. Place on the grill rack.4.Grill for 4-5

minutes. Cool for a few moments, then serve.

To make a biscuits representing family members looking carefully at facial features; eyes, nose, mouth and hair Please remember, we love to see your work! Please save copies for us

This is a great fun your child will love to see themselves (and their family members) in pictures! The children will be excited to start exploring.

Materials needed: Bin Sensory material (you can use different beans,

rice,) Pictures of family members

Decorate your biscuits to represent your family member.

What you need:

o bake your own biscuits using simple recipe or use 1

packet of plain round biscuits/cookies

o 1 cup of icing sugar (powdered sugar)

o 2-3 tbsp lemon juice or water

o different decorations

Instructions:

1. Place the icing sugar in a small bowl and add the

lemon juice one a little at a time until you have

made stiff white icing.2. Spreading the icing over the biscuits and

decorate to make a face

Draw a line around the top portion to separate the head from the body. This helps in defining these areas for painting. Choose different colours for “clothes. Let them to dry and make hair using yarn. Cut the yarn into pieces that suit the length of hair you are aiming for. Stretch the yarn out holding each end, then fold it in half making each end meet. Add the eyes and mouth. Using a little bit of glue, stick the googly eyes to the tube and allow them to dry in place. Draw the mouth on with a marker. Once all of the family members have their hair, eyes, and mouth you can start playing!
