place to work. Its external cab dimensions

have increased by only 4%, yet there’s 10%

more internal space, giving you more

headroom, legroom and width. Smart new

trim ensures that the whole cab feels light

and inviting.

A larger screen area now provides you exceptional visibility. The new seats are sculpted for extra support and the steering wheel adjusts for height and rake. The ergonomic dashboard layout features a new combimeter which displays clear and comprehensive information. This includes an optional multifunction computer providing useful data such as average fuel consumption and range, oil level and ‘shift-up’ advice for optimum gear changing. The overall effect is a more relaxing environment where you’ll always feel comfortably in control.

OrGaNISED aND EFFECTIVE

a tidy, organised cab is more welcoming and safer, so we’ve equipped New

Cabstar with no less than 13 separate storage spaces. These include an a4

document space above the combimeter, a central cooled compartment that can

take cans or small bottles, a separate glovebox, cooled or heated cup holders

for the driver and passenger, roof storage and a large capacity box that’s

hidden (yet easily accessed) behind the centre passenger seat.

Effective ventilation helps you work better too. Besides electric windows as standard equipment, New Cabstar offers the option of air conditioning. Also available is a keyless entry system, which lets you lock and unlock the cab doors without using the key.

All three engines give you ample power to climb hills, even when loaded, with either 5 speed or (for the 130HP and 150HP units) 6 speed transmissions. You can specify a Limited Slip Differential, which maintains drive even if one of the rear wheels is on a low grip surface, such as ice or mud.

New Euro 4 compatible 2.5 litre and 3.0 litre engines bring

extra power, torque and economy to the New Cabstar.

There are two common rail direct injection diesel units

available, with a choice of three outputs: 110Hp/250Nm,

130Hp/270Nm and 150Hp/350Nm. These advanced

engines, especially developed for Commercial Vehicle

use, are quieter and more fuel efficient.

The New Cabstar is equipped to take the effort out of driving. For

example, it’s easy to drive and park in confined locations, thanks

to compact overall dimensions and a small turning circle – from

9.6m kerb to kerb, depending on the vehicle wheelbase.

Combined with independent front suspension, the powered rack

and pinion steering gives New Cabstar secure handling and a

reassuring feel at all speeds.

You can now specify New Cabstar with Easy Hill Start (EHS), which saves you having to apply the parking brake during stop/start driving on hills. Operated by convenient switches in the cab, EHS helps you restart by simply releasing the brake pedal – useful if you get held up, for example, at traffic lights or by a vehicle turning in front of you. By reducing wear on the clutch and driveline in demanding situations, EHS contributes to the New Cabstar’s outstanding low running costs. EHS is standard on MWB and LWB versions of New Cabstar.

All of these active safety measures are supported by effective passive safety features. The New Cabstar now has a reinforced cabin structure, protected by a sturdy shock absorbing front bumper, to provide car-like safety performance. Independent tests have demonstrated that in frontal impacts, New Cabstar’s safety level is equal to that of a passenger car. The driver and window seat passenger have height adjustable seatbelts with pretensioners, and the option of airbags. Both cabin doors are fitted with anti-intrusion bars, to maintain the integrity of the tough protective shell that the New Cabstar provides.

We’ve made safeguarding you and your loads a high priority. Consequently,

front and rear disc brakes are standard for all the New Cabstar range, with aBS

and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), for optimum braking performance

available on all twin rear wheel models. The New Cabstar’s predictable and

positive road holding, plus class leading front and side visibility from its new

cab, are positive safety benefits. Heated door mirrors and an automatic dipping

rear view mirror are also available on mWB and LWB, and the new wiper design

clears a large expanse of windscreen.

To make sure that comfort is enjoyed throughout the year, a separate rear heater with two-speed fan is standard on LWB models. If you need to carry loads in the cab (your tools, for example), the rear seat folds forward to provide extra space.

When extra help is needed, New Cabstar is ready with a double

cab version, available on 3.5T models. With large doors and

conveniently mounted steps for easy entry and exit, the double

cab carries six people in comfort.

This helps you plan routine servicing for a time that suits your business and gives you the reassurance that any repairs necessary will be undertaken with utmost priority.

Nissan rapid Service A visit to the workshop is not always planned. But if you have a Cabstar, there’s no need to worry. Nissan Rapid Service means that participating dealers will take your vehicle and undertake key service items (services maintenance)

without appointment, but always with a quoted price. These Nissan workshops have convenient opening hours, so they’ll still be ready for your Cabstar even after you’ve done a full day’s work.

roadside assistance Nissan Roadside Assistance is provided as standard for the first 3 years of your vehicle’s life. For extra peace of mind, in the unlikely event that you do break down, this cover includes a replacement vehicle** for up to 72 hours if your vehicle can’t be fixed at the roadside or repaired locally. So even if your vehicle’s off the road, your business can still keep on going strong.

Out of Hours Servicing The very last thing you want is vehicles off the road during the working day. Preferences offers you the freedom to drive away the car of your choice every two or three years (subject to status). Nissan Finance will guarantee the value of your car at the end of your agreement. To do this we agree the maximum

annual mileage and repayment period. The guaranteed future value of the car is then calculated. This figure becomes your Optional Final payment.

The amount y u pay is the price of your new Nissan, minus your deposit and Optional Final payment, plus any interest and fees. This makes driving your new car more affordable. Lower fixed monthly payments will help you stick to your monthly budget or could even mean that you are able to upgrade to a higher specification car.

At the end of your agreement you have the choice of the following options:-

1. Simply part-exchange your car at any authorised dealership where your dealer will value your car. If your car is worth more than the Optional Final Payment, you can use the difference as a deposit for your next new Nissan.

2. Keep the car, to do this, simply pay the Optional Final payment as outlined in your agreement. Nissan Finance can help you finance this value if needed.

3. Hand the Vehicle back.You can simply hand the vehicle back to Nissan Finance with nothing more to pay (subject to mileage and condition). Excess mileage charges apply.
