VEGETABLE GARDEN CLUB NEWS This week students planted their own lettuce in a little take-home punnet. They were all very excited about this. There was also quite a bit of weeding to be done after last week was rained out. A few extra sunflowers were planted and students also completed the regular weekly jobs. DONATIONS Thank you to Renae Kemp for donating gloves and watering cans. We appreciate the strawberry plants, tubs and potting mix that was donated by Leanne McClymont – thanks! D2F FUNDRAISER Dedicated to Fitness on Bradwardine Road have provided us with 10 visit vouchers to sell as a fundraiser. Vouchers, which normally retail for $99 are being sold for $50 – a real bargain! Why not buy one for a Christmas present? All proceeds will go towards building extra garden beds and equipment for the club. If you would like to purchase one of these discount fundraising 10 visit vouchers, please contact Cassandra Jones on 6334 2304. NEXT WEEK

We will be planting out the donated strawberries, planting the fruit trees and all our regular weekly jobs.

If any parents are able to help out next Monday please call Cassandra Jones on 6334 2304 or just turn up at 1pm.

Bags of Hope Thousands of Cambodian children go to school everyday without a bag in which to carry their most ba-sic necessities (books, stationary, food and—vitally important– bottled drinking water to help them avoid dysentery from unsafe drinking wa-ter).

Students who would like to donate their old school backpacks and bags at the end of the year can leave at the front office for collec-tion during the last week of term.

The bags will be collected and packed with books and stationary before being shipped to Cambodia for distributed to needy students for the commencement of their school year in March.
