is an editorial, commercial and travel photographer from Nairobi, Kenya.

Born and raised in Nairobi my love for the arts started at a young age through illustrations learning from my uncle. Lifetimes later I became a graphic designer and while working for Kenya’s local top women’s magazine True Love Magazine East Africa my interest in fashion photography started. Working with my mentor/friend Emmanuel Jambo I started directing cover and fashion shoots. I later started shooting with my phone and grew from there landing my first fashion shoot with Adele Dejak.

ExpertiseMy work focuses on capturing African fashion and travel. I love natural light and shadows and how it forms interesting light against my subjects and I developed my style of this. My fashion work is a mix of dark contrast and pops of colour.

Always experimenting with new techniques, I love challenging myself to always push the limits of creativity. I’m currently working on a series called The Dark Matter Project that is a collaboration with Bryan Emry working with different African designers, models documenting fashion through creative forms of photogrpahy.

The collection of images here are on sale for a limited run of prints. The funds raised from the sales are to facilitate funding of “The Dark Matter Project” shoots across Africa, books and exhibitions slated for 2020.
