PrivacyOS is a thematic network for privacy protection infrastructur within the current European Commission´s ICT Policy Support Programme

The Project• aims at bringing together Industry,

SMEs, Government, Academia and Civil Society

• wants to foster development and deployment of privacy infrastructures in Europe

• serves as a marketplace for those offering solutions to those facing new challenges

• allows users to define privacy profiles, and to monitor and control their enforcement and propagation

• facilitates the emergence of an open Europe-wide eServices market with dynamic service composition across different privacy policy regimes

• Gives the opportunity to exchange research and best practises, as well as develop strategies and joint projects

Objectives of PrivacyOS

• PrivacyOS brings together industry, SMEs, Government, Academia and Civil Society to foster development and deployment of privacy infrastructures for Europe

• Facilitate the emergence of an open Europe-wide eServices market with dynamic service composition across different privacy policy regimes

• allow users to define privacy profiles, and to monitor and control their enforcement and propagation

• Exchange research and best practises, as well as develop strategies and joint projects following four core policy goals: Awareness-rising, enabling privacy on the web, fostering privacy-friendly Identity Management and stipulating research.
