Private Acute Healthcare Conference 2019 The Royal Society of Medicine | London, 1st October
Last year’s attendees included:
This year’s theme is ‘The Changing Referral Pathway – what does it mean for patients, providers and insurers?’. We’ll be looking at the growing trend within insurers for pathway management, the apparent decline of named referrals by GPs, and the increasing inclusion of online and offline GP services within PMI. We will also look at how providers are developing their own pathways in line with the trend for greater visibility on outcomes, and we’ll be considering the whole issue of governance and consultant employment within this changing industry. All this plus a look at trends in international self-pay and international PMI, not to mention examining the arrival of Proton Beam Therapy to the UK this year, and what that might mean for the treatment of oncology patients. This conference will focus on four key points: • The LaingBuisson forecast of PMI, self-pay, the NHS, overseas, London and the rest of the UK• Demand from international self-pay patients• Opportunities and expectations from Proton Beam Therapy in the UK • The future for pathway management
