July 30, 2015 To Whomever it May Concern, It is my pleasure to write this recommendation in favor of Priyanka Jain. Priyanka was a recent student in the MBA course Strategic Marketing. Although not a Strategic Marketing student, Priyanka performed very well in the class. Besides doing well in the traditional sense, a couple things stand about her. First, she was always highly engaged. She asked thought-provoking questions in lecture, participated heavily in the many case discussions required in the course and, overall, was one of the most visible people in the class. Second, she is driven. More so than just about any student in recent memory, she came to me after class to discuss and debate issues and to seek additional specific sources to add to her learning experience. She is one of the more focused, ambitious students I have met in some time. As such, she was a pleasure to have in class. Her high standards demanded the best out of me. Priyanka is not a person who wants to be second best at anything. While this may be said about many people, she is willing to do the work to make it happen. The famous basketball coach Bobby Knight once said, “Everybody has the desire to win, but very few people have the will to prepare to win.” That is not a problem with Priyanka. She will give you a 100% all day every day. This is what truly sets her apart from others. And, this is why she will succeed. As you will see in her resume, Priyanka already has significant professional experiences with firms such as Unisys and has engaged in several high profile projects that will complement her coursework in the MS Management Information System program. Her well-rounded background is evidenced by here interests in fashion and the arts. Not surprisingly she is also an active member in the Institute of Leadership Management here at the University of Akron. Please consider Priyanka for employment. You will be glad you did. Sincerely, William E. Baker, Ph.D. Professor and Chair, Department of Marketing University of Akron

July 30, 2015

To Whomever it May Concern,

It is my pleasure to write this recommendation in favor of Priyanka Jain. Priyanka was a recent student

in the MBA course Strategic Marketing. Although not a Strategic Marketing student, Priyanka

performed very well in the class. Besides doing well in the traditional sense, a couple things stand about

her. First, she was always highly engaged. She asked thought-provoking questions in lecture,

participated heavily in the many case discussions required in the course and, overall, was one of the

most visible people in the class. Second, she is driven. More so than just about any student in recent

memory, she came to me after class to discuss and debate issues and to seek additional specific sources

to add to her learning experience. She is one of the more focused, ambitious students I have met in

some time. As such, she was a pleasure to have in class. Her high standards demanded the best out of

me.

Priyanka is not a person who wants to be second best at anything. While this may be said about many

people, she is willing to do the work to make it happen. The famous basketball coach Bobby Knight once

said, “Everybody has the desire to win, but very few people have the will to prepare to win.” That is not

a problem with Priyanka. She will give you a 100% all day every day. This is what truly sets her apart

from others. And, this is why she will succeed.

As you will see in her resume, Priyanka already has significant professional experiences with firms such

as Unisys and has engaged in several high profile projects that will complement her coursework in the

MS Management Information System program. Her well-rounded background is evidenced by here

interests in fashion and the arts. Not surprisingly she is also an active member in the Institute of

Leadership Management here at the University of Akron.

Please consider Priyanka for employment. You will be glad you did.

Sincerely,

William E. Baker, Ph.D. Professor and Chair, Department of Marketing University of Akron
