PROBLEM SOLVING FRACTION

1.  Aiman has a jackfruit with a mass of 4.1 kg

and a watermelon with a mass of 0.7 kg less

than the jackfruit. If he ate 0.6 kg of the

watermelon and 0.3 kg of the jackfruit, what

is the mass of the jackfruit and watermelon

left?

2.  Encik Hashim bought 345 exercise books. Hegave 0.6 of them to several orphans. The

remainder was distributed equally between 6 

of his pupils. How many of the exercise books

did each of the pupils receive?

3.  In a gymnastic competition, participant A

collected 736.48 points after four disciplines. 

He scored 198.4 and 246 points in the first

and second disciplines. He collected the same

points for the third and fourth disciplines. 

What are the points collected for the fourth

discipline?

is lighter than Anis bag by half of 1.8 kg.

14. There are 180 pens in a box. 0.25 of them

were found to be defective. What is the

pens, what is the number left?
