Problem : Water leakage from Selector switch “ Auto drain and high Cool Knob”

Reason of water Leakage:

Water falling directly on drain assy. from wood wool pad(Design constraint).

Do not replace assy. drain valve, no problem related to this part.

Water falling directly on Drain Assy.

Required Material for modification : 1. Modified retainer (Plastic collar cut at center) – Prepare

at workshop2. Elphy, Fevi kwik, Loctite - Buy it from market3. Plastic sheet ( 11(L) cm x 4(W)cm) – Buy it from market4. Cutter

Modification Procedure : 5. Open Back cover & remove Pad retainer of right

side (Above drain Assy.)6. Use modified side pad retainer or Cut side pad

retainer at customer location as shown in fig.7. Apply adhesive (Fevi kwik ) on side grill as shown

in picture8. Place plastic sheet on the adhesive & press properly for 1-2 min.5. Re-assemble the wood wool & retainer6. Check by putting water on side pad whether water

is leaking or not from drain selector knob. 7. If no water leakage ,close back cover and Test the

set with water.

Proposed Counter measures/suggestions to factory1. Check possibility of change of position of drain selector knob position from side

cabinet to front cabinet if not then point no 2 to be considered.2. Do mould modification in pad retainer so that water does not fall does not fall on

assy. drain valve.3. Drain plug to be provided with thread or chain so that it always remains fixed with

side cabinet of cooler.
