Add warm water or canned foodand mix the food well! Herbs can also havestrong flavors that do best when covered up.

By dividing the daily supplement requirementsbetween two or more meals, you will provide abetter rate of absorption for the nutrient andhave less of the ingredient to give at any onetime. This will please your pet’s palate andtummy (as the full daily requirement may betoo much to digest at once, especially for olderor weaker pets).

Herbal extracts, for the fullest effect, are bestgiven on an empty stomach. Be sure to firstdilute extract with a little water or apple juice(tuna water works great for cats!) Some petsmay be too sensitive digestively at first totolerate them this way. If your pet refuses totake a supplement orally or suffers a digestiveupset, then adding herbs to the meal will dilutethe herbs’ taste, yet still benefit your pet.

ADULT CATS: Feed ½ cup (of 8 oz.cup) daily; use “free choice” method or aminimum of two meals daily.Cats eat to meettheir energy needs. Common sense is thebest guide to feeding your cat. You mayneed to adjust the daily ration accordingto activity level, environment or weather.
