Fusion Volunteer – Available to simply be present with students on Sunday evenings in one of the following areas:

§ Student Lounge – The Lounge has a snack bar, video games, fools ball and couches

§ Serving here would involve hanging out with students or serving in the snack bar

§ Fellowship Hall – The FH has dodgeball, basketball, and sometimes 9-Square-in-the-Air. Serving here simply means playing games with the students and hanging out

§ Patio – The patio is simply a hangout spot and if the weather is good, 9-Square-in-the-Air is played on patio

§ Check-In Team – Help students sign-in as they arrive on Sunday evenings § Welcome Team – Welcomes youth as they arrive on Sunday evenings § Worship Team – Help lead youth in worship on Sunday evenings § Sound Team – Run sound on Sunday evenings § Media Team – Run ProPresenter on Sunday evenings § Prayer Team – Prays for students, leaders, volunteers, guests, etc. § Teaching Team – Occasionally fills in when regular teaching team is

unavailable You can also serve as a:

§ Small Group Leader – Open up homes and host a student small group § Sunday School Teacher – Teach a Bible lesson to students on Sunday

mornings § Mentor – Develops and maintains personal, positive, trustworthy rapport

with a team § Follow-Up Team – Contact students who haven’t attended in several

weeks

7th – 12th Grade Fusion Student Ministry

Sunday School Teacher – Prepare and teach provided lessons; parent/child encouragement and support Second Adult – Assist lead teacher with class lessons, build positive relationships with kids and parents Registration Desk – Greet families and check children in with computer security software Nursery Volunteer – Greet parents and care for children, aged birth-2 years old Special Events Coordinator – Help plan, recruit for, and produce special events VBS Special Events Assistant – Assist Special Events Coordinator Artist, Actor, Game Leader, Musician – Use artistic talent to benefit various programs and events Photographer/Videographer – Record and document special events Behind the Scenes – Administrative and light office work

Children’s Ministry

First Connection Welcome Team – Welcome guests and members each Sunday and on special occasions. Direct people to specific locations on campus Parking Team – Greet everybody who drives on campus, direct people into parking spots, and assist those with special needs. Usher/Greeter – Greet people when they enter the sanctuary; provide bulletins or other information; assist people in finding a seat Guest Central – Welcomes guest and assists them with questions they may have about CUMC. Hospitality Team – Create a warm, inviting environment by making people feel comfortable and welcomed through food preparation and service at various monthly and special events Adult Discipleship Sunday School Teacher – Teaches adults Biblical truth and guide a mid-size gathering (20-50) on a weekly basis into spiritual maturity and healthy relationships. Must be a member of CUMC. Small Group Leader – Leads a small group (8-15) in developing their spiritual walk through shepherding and Bible study, fellowship, prayer, and missional living. Must be a member of CUMC.

Service Time: Sunday mornings Sound – Understand or possess the capacity to learn how to operate the sound systems for worship services and other events Audio/Visual/Lighting – Operate video cameras, light boards, and computer software that enhances worship on Sunday mornings and other special events Stage Crew – Assists with the transition from Traditional stage set-up to Contemporary set-up through chairs, curtains, instruments, etc. (labor intensive)

Sunday morning support – Join us during the Sunday school hour as an observer and participant. Event Support – Be willing to serve as a chaperone for various weekend activities and retreats.

Band – Possess skill to play an instrument and perform with a group of individuals, leading the congregation in corporate worship Media – Create and edit video elements to promote and enhance Sunday worship Creative Team – Proficient with Photoshop, animation, and video production software; elements are used during worship services and other special events. ***Choir, orchestra, and handbells – [email protected]

Worship Arts

Stephen Minister – Provide 1-1 care to individuals who are struggling spiritually or emotionally. Requires training, mentorship, and a commitment to serve others. Spirit Lifters – Serve the congregation by providing when a family is in need or going through a difficult period. Visitation Team – Visit on a monthly basis those who are unable to leave their homes, or are in assisted living; the goal is the formation

Prayer Partners – Comes alongside individuals and provides prayer for them and others in need Pre-Worship – intercessory prayer for all that takes place during worship on Sundays Prayer Chain – Prays when requests come in and then sends those prayer requests along to those in the chain Prayers and Squares – Make fabric squares and quilts that are provided to individuals or groups in need of prayer and healing
