ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Non-profite private organisation

Date of start up October 2004 Location Science and Technologic Park in GijonndashINTRA

Mission ldquoTo boost the competitiveness of companies by applying technological advances to their products and to their manufacturing and management processesrdquo

Additive manufacturing

Additive Manufacturing

DESCRIPTION Additive manufacturing is the process of joining materials to make objects from 3D model data usually layer upon layer as opposed to traditional subtractive manufacturing methodologies AM is used to built physical models prototypes patterns tooling components and production parts in plastics metal ceramics o composite materials AM systems use thin horizontal cross sections from computer-aided design (CAD) models 3D-scanning systems medical scanners and video games produce parts that may difficult or impossible to fabricate any other way

Added value Complexity + individuality together

Additive Manufacturing
