I am honored to have been appointed as the first President of the new Middle East Chapter of the Produced Water Society. The Society has met annually in Houston for the past 27 years, discussing the latest technologies, case studies and challenges facing the industry. Produced water is becoming an increasing challenge for operators in the GCC so this is the perfect time for this expansion into the region. The inaugural Produced Water Middle East takes place on the Sunday and Monday of ADIPEC week. ADIPEC is one of the world’s most influential oil and gas events, bringing 90,000 oil & gas professionals to Abu Dhabi. I invite you all to join us for two days of focused discussion of produced water treatment and management before we all travel the short distance to ADIPEC.
