About Us4 Aces has proudly served the water cooler, coffee, food service and hospitality sectors for over 17 years with an extensive range of bespoke and off the shelf disposable packaging.

Through our highly acclaimed BRC accreditation and talented team of motivated procurement and account management professionals, 4 Aces excels in bringing together the clients individual packaging requirements in conjunction with ‘second to none’ distribution and customer service.

We have fundamentally built and continue to build, the business, through development, innovation and investment, which has seen major new product development and warehouse management systems introduced into the business in recent years.

Maintaining some of the industries’ highest KPI’s in product supply, customer service and commercial competency, ensures our investment and teams are rewarded to our customers satisfaction.

2018 saw the significant introduction of the seedling logo accredited environmental ‘Planet’ range in recognition of our obligation to reduce single use plastic. ‘Planet’ was introduced to focus our clients on more environmental options for their customers by delivering a compostable paper cup and clear PLA cold cup solution to support the range.

The company particularly specialises in sourcing products and ranges on behalf of major distributors and end user, who’s own businesses require a fully managed supply chain partner and expects the highest level of service throughout its partnership.Our procurement team focus strongly on building solid relationships with accredited suppliers and manages overseas relationships through regular meetings and site checks.

Having invested in the latest stock and warehouse management systems, 4 Aces manage and exceed both national and international customer requirements and expectations, when handling its bespoke lines.

We have our own internal creative department, ensuring customers bespoke prints are both accurately and efficiently communicated to the factories, which also ensures a smooth process.

Throughout the history of 4 Aces, the Managing Director, Chris Penn, has maintained a drive and determination to grow the business without compromise. His energy and ethos is echoed throughout the team, who strive to offer and maintain the best solutions for their customers, THIS TIME, NEXT TIME, EVERY TIME.

PLANET RANGE

Simplifying Industry Terms

The plastic lining on conventional paper cups prevents them from being easily and widely recycled. Specialist recyclers do exist and are growing in number. These are capable of removing the plastic lining and recovering and recycling the paper that remains.

PLA cups are lined with PLA instead of polyethylene (PE).This makes them compostable, but currently prevents them from being easily recycled.

PLA lined hot and cold cups

PE lined paper hot cups are recyclable if dealt with in the right way at their end of life. There are four specialist separation facilities in the UK which accept paper hot cups for recycling.

PLA cups should be disposed of with appropriate waste destined for commercial composting sites.

If a PLA product enters landfill, whilst not itsintended end of life option, it stands a much better chance of harmlessly degrading than a plastic lined, or plastic based product.

Capable of degradation through the action of living organisms.

Compostable means that packaging can break down in under 12 weeks in commercial composting conditions and is therefore suitable for industrial composting.

This is not a generic term and must be proven by a certification scheme. Just because something is biodegradable does not make it compostable.

There are several certification schemes, but our products are “Seedling Certified”, or “BPI certified”.

If we wish to use these logos on our products they must feature the appropriate certificate number.

BESPOKE PRINTHELP GUIDE

CHOOSE YOUR PRODUCT

We supply a wide variety of products for bespoke print, from hot cups, to cold cups, to bar disposables. Refer to page 44, to see examples of bespoke print and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are looking for other products.

DESIGN YOUR CUP

Send over artwork in the following formats: Illustrator Format (AI or EPSL or Working PDF File). Artwork must be received in a PANTONE format. If you are unable to send us artwork in the formats mentioned, our Marketing Team are always on hand to provide assistance.

SIGN OFF

We have three parts to complete our sign off process. All parts must be completed in order to go any further with the process. The first part is the artwork acknowledgement form. The second part is to sign the final artwork template. Simply scan and send back to us. The final part, you may also need to pay a deposit fee in order for manufacture to begin. There is also the option to have us hold stock for you for a set period of time. This agreement will be available on request, talk to your representative to see if this is an option for you.

ALL DONE!

When all of the relevant forms and artwork sign off has been completed, your cups will begin to be processed. Delivery can vary and can only be confirmed after sign off has been satisfied. We can offer other services, depending on your requirements, contact us to find out more.
