ULTRA-LIGHT GUMBOOTSGumboots have been at the bottom of the footwear food chain for too long. While other styles of footwear have been refined over the years, gumboots have remained unchanged. Mack Boots™ has turned this trend on its head by developing ultra-lightweight, cushioned and supportive gumboots. Many traditional PVC safety gumboots weigh in the 1.5kg / 3.3 lbs region while the Mack Boots™ DELUGE with a steel toe and puncture resistant midsole weighs half of this at just 775g / 1.7 lbs. The reduction in weight and improvement in function will keep your legs feeling fresh all day.

Mack Boots™ reflective and high visibility boots are an exciting innovation in safety footwear and are ideal for those working in low light environments. The range combines High Visibility 3M reflective uppers with a Glow in the Dark stability heel cradle. Unlike Hi-Vis and reflective clothing the Glow in the Dark stability heel cradle ensures that wearers remain visible even when no light source is directed at the worker. THE BODY’S FOUNDATIONSThe human foot is an amazing piece of engineering. Unlike a building’s foundation, feet are required to perform a number of opposing functions while walking, bending and squatting. After heel strike the foot is required to be a flexible adaptor to accommodate uneven terrain and absorb the body’s impact forces. Later during single-leg support the foot is required to provide a stable base for the body’s centre of mass to progress forward. During push-off the foot produces power and transmits the power generated from the calf muscles to the ground to propel the body forward. To achieve these goals and an efficient walking gait the foot consists of 28 bones, 20 muscles and 33 joints all with unique functions. For footwear to be comfortable the design needs to consider these requirements and the dynamic nature of foot function. Too often traditional safety footwear disregards the functional requirements of the foot and simply treats the foot as a single rigid structure.

Sixty five percent (65%) of wearers of safety footwear have foot problems that are caused by their safety footwear.1 At Mack Boots™ we take foot function seriously in order to reduce the number of foot complaints experienced by workers. Born in Australia, Wrestling was Soa “The Hulk” Palelei first choice in his early years. His interest however quickly developed in the arena of martial arts and from there his love of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) grew. WHY CERTIFY YOUR PRODUCTS?

Product certification is a process that confirms a product meets the necessary local, national or international quality standards relevant to a particular product.

Product certification involves an independent, qualified third party assessing a manufacturer’s capability to constantly manufacture a product to a recognised standard, such as an Australian Standard.

The product certification process involves both assessing the manufacturer’s production systems and facilities and selecting representative samples of finished product for testing by independent suitably accredited testing facilities.

Once certified, the manufacturer will be able to display the assessing body’s certification trade mark on the products produced, offering objective verification of its compliance. To retain its “certified” status, the certification process requires regular auditing of the manufacturer’s facilities and ongoing batch testing of products to ensure that the systems continue to be effective. This indicates that the conformity of our product is based upon technical documentation and an annual review of our manufacturing and quality control process to monitor our ability to consistently produce products in compliance with AS/NZS2210 (AUS/NZ), EN–ISO 20345 (EUR) and ASTM F2413–11 (USA) standards.
