When the Hackney based Homerton University Hospital needed to upgrade their computer carts to a more robust, flexible and user-friendly model, they turned to Agile Medical, a company dedicated to improving workflow and efficiency in healthcare environments through the implementation of mobilised patient care.

“Our existing carts were big, bulky and non-height-adjustable which made it difficult for staff to perform essential day-to-day tasks,” explains Maddy Woods, Nurse Consultant for Medicines Management at the Homerton. “Agile Medical came in, examined our very specific requirements and came back with a bespoke version of their single-screen CPU cart that answered our needs exactly.”

Amongst the many requirements on the brief, Workstation On Wheels (WOWs) with ample space for medication and a mounting point for a scanner was of upmost importance to the team on site because electronic Prescribing Medicines Administration (ePMA) was being implemented. Therefore, we increased the size of the top cavity for increased storage capabilities which housed individual compartments for organising the medication correctly. The medication compartment on every Medicow cart is secured with a lock and key for security and safety reasons.

Homerton University Hospital also realised the importance of having a service contract in place. Agile Medical currently provides a standard 3 year service package for maintenance of the 100+ Medicow carts on site at Homerton Hospital which includes free call outs and replacement parts fitted by our engineers.

Deliveries/ServiceWe undertake to do our utmost to execute every order within the shortest possible time. There are three different delivery bands. The lead times for these three bands are as follows:

IN STOCK Products held in stock in our warehouse and normally available for delivery within 2-4 working days of receipt of order. SPEED RANGE These are popular product lines normally available for delivery within 5-10 working days from receipt of order. TO ORDER These are all other sizes and products not held in stock or on Speed Range status and are normally available within 20-25 working days from placement of order. We cannot accept liability for any direct or indirect loss which may arise if a delivery is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances or conditions beyond our control.

Charged at cost + 5% Please note: We cannot accept responsibility for damaged or missing goods unless we are notified in writing within 3 working days of receipt of delivery. WarrantyAll materials are under warranty for a twelve month period. Within this period we will replace free of charge any components that prove to be of defective manufacture. Please note that this warranty will be rendered null and void if items have been overloaded, abused, dismantled and re-erected incorrectly or mistreated in any way. Due to lighting conditions and the reprographic process, there may be some slight difference in colouration of the actual products than appears in the photographs. As part of our programme of continuous improvement, Agile Medical reserve the right to change and update products without prior notice.

Reservation of title/Re-stocking/Order cancellationPlease note that under our trading terms, title of goods supplied only passes from the company on receipt of payment. We are able to re-stock (take back) standard stock items if required. A recognised re-stocking charge of 15% of the order value will be applied. Goods must be undamaged and in resaleable condition. In the case of an order cancellation for non-stock items where goods have been specifically purchased or manufactured against a confirmed purchase order it may not be possible for us to avoid raising an invoice for the full original purchase order value.

Payment termsCredit account facilities are available subject to satisfactory bank and trade references being obtained. With approved accounts, our terms are that payment is due in full within 30 days from the end of the month in which the goods/services were delivered/provided. For non-account transactions we accept payment by cheque, cash, bankers draft, VISA, Mastercard and BACS. (For cheque payment please allow sufficient time for funds to clear.)
