About the Product Feature Summary The Product Feature Summary provides Administrators with information about the release. It includes a
summary features available in eAccounts 2.0.0. It does not include information on enhancements in any
prior release including full releases, service releases, and patches.
What is in the Product Feature Summary? The document contains the following sections:

Product Description and Features
Description
Blackboard eAccounts is a web service product providing real-time integration with Blackboard Transaction System 3.7.1.2 or greater to allow self-service online account management including:
real-time and scheduled stored value deposits stored value balance and transaction history board plan balance and transaction history basic card maintenance functions API for mobile and third party applications.
eAccounts is hosted by Blackboard in a secure data center meeting the Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) for processing credit card transactions.

New Features for 2.0.0
New User Interface
Completely redesigned user interface featuring: o Cleaner, modern page design o New user landing page displaying all stored value and board accounts o Additional text areas for local campus information o Simplified deposit workflow o Simplified configuration options in management portal for custom look campus
branding.
Shibboleth Compatible Single Sign-On
Service Portal Display mode feature allows and institution to embed the functional parts of eAccounts (versus branding) into another site that is already branded for the institution.
o Coupled with SSO, this can provide a seamless user experience integrated to a secure campus portal.
Recurring Scheduled Deposits
Users with saved payment methods can schedule future deposits on a recurring basis with following options:
o Daily o Weekly o Monthly o Yearly o Time of day o Start and end date of schedule o Number of occurrences
Display Mode
Configuration options for SAML based Shibboleth compatible identity service.
Improvements
eAccounts Portal User Query
Additional query filter options allow administrator to more efficiently determine state of
users.
New filter options include:

Additional query filter options allow administrator to more efficiently report on users.

o Address Line 2
o Address Line 3

o Postal Code
Infrastructure Improvements
Messaging services have been optimized to avoid email delays and better handle invalid
email addresses.
Message service configuration is now located in the Institution configuration area of the
Management Portal.
