eighty percent of the operational availability and lifecycle costs are determined during the design and construction of each vessel.

We anticipate on this by including IlS programmes with our newly build products. With the inclusion of IlS programmes, DSNS retains a design to maintain principle. The DSNS pluS+ approach is based on the latest military and commercial standards to ensure the highest quality, according to, for example: ASD-S1000D, ASD-S2000M, ASD-S3000l, Mil-Stan1388-2B and Def-Stan0600.

sKills ANd KNoWledGe for optiMAl vessel perforMANce

DsNs strives to ensure your vessels perform optimally, for which knowledge and skills of the crew are paramount.

Therefore, we have designed a dedicated training approach which ensures crew and maintenance staff to have all the skills and knowledge required to carry out theirtasksefficientlyandsafely.Ourtrainingapproachbegins with individual training and turns gradually into team training for the ship’s crew. The DSNS pluS+ training approachisflexibleandwillbetailoredtoyourneeds.

trAiNiNG

trANsfer of techNoloGyDSNS pluS+ training is not limited to crew and maintenance personnel. We also offer shipbuilding transfer of technology (ToT) programmes. These programmes are in direct correlaton with the options we offer to build vessels at a location selected by our client. Through tailor-made programmes, we train yard personnel to enhance their building and yard management skills. This is one of the success factors for successful in-country building.

increasing technological complexity and the adjoining increase of administrative data collection, a computerized maintenance management system is a powerful tool to stay in control of the maintenance process. DsNs can provide turn-key Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMs) solutions or Maintenance up-loadable data which can be incorporated into your existing CMMs. to improve the operational availability and lifecycle costs we considers the lifecycle as a dynamic environment and manages the maintenance as such.

In addition to ship design and shipbuilding, Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DS&C) offers a network of 15 repair & conversion yards worldwide, with 40 drydocks ranging up to 420 x 80 metres. Conversion projects range from adapting vessels to today’s requirements and regulations, to the complete conversion of large offshore structures. DS&C handles 1,500 repair and maintenance jobs annually.
