45mm Casement Window

Product Description

The Kestrel 45mm Window is designed for light commercial and domestic use.The basic suite of externally beaded profiles will allow construction of the most common types of top and side hung open-out lights and fixed lights as individual or composite window styles. The system is designed generally in accordance with BS 4873: 2004 and can be supplied with a polyurethane SU thermal break.

Windows constructed with thermally broken profiles meet current Building Regulation Approved Document (AD) L1/L2 requirements when glazed with IGU's having a centre pane U value of 1.1 W/m2K (modelled in accordance with BS EN 10077-2: 2003 and GGF data sheet 2.2)

Frame profiles are typically 45mm deep, a 70mm deep equal leg outer frame is available as an alternative option. Square or bevel beads are also available. A range of cill sections and couplers compliment the range.

Materials:Aluminium profiles are extruded from alloy 6060/6063 T6 complying with the recommendations of BS EN 755: 1-9

Finishes:Mill finishEtched and anodised to BS 3987: 1991 (01.06.2007) - Silver AA25 or colours on request.Polyester Powder coat paint to BS EN 12206-1:2004. See separate list for standard colour range available.

Construction:Frame joints are mitre cut, sealed and crimped used extruded corner cleats and stainless steel corner chevrons. Mullions and transoms are square cut, shouldered and secured by driving screws into extruded ports or by concealed aluminium cruciform cleats.

Hardware:The nominal 13mm hardware cavity accepts most proprietary window fittings i.e. butt hinges, friction hinges, locking cockspur handles, folding openers, remote cable winding gear and trickle vents.

Glass, Glazing and Infil Panels:The system is designed to accept glass of 6mm, 6.4mm thickness and accommodate 24 thick IGU's or infill panels. Glazing to be carried out in strict accordance with BS 6262
