1. Install 22009 Hub Cleaning tool onto 1/2" impact wrench

2. Place over the stud to clean rust and debris from the mounting surface as part of the TIA's RIST Procedure , Remove debris. Be sure to clean the back of the wheel.

4. Run the stud cleaning tool down each of the studs to remove rust and debris from the threads - part of TIA's RIST Procedure - Remove Debris.

5. After visual inspection of the threads, use the thread tester 02751 - M12 x 1.25, 02752 - M12 x 1.5, 02753 - 1/2" x 20 UNF, to determine if any studs need to be replaced. RIST procedure - Inspect.

3. Install 64027 Stud Cleaning Tool on to 1/2" Impact wrench.Instructions:

Reduce Down Time Due to Tire Failure Truck Valve Installation

Best Practices

Bent vs. straight valveMany valves used in truck service must be bent to allow access with gauges and chucks. Installing straight valves and bending them on the rim often causes leakage at the grommet. To provide for the longest service life and prevent grommet damage, installing a pre-bent valve is recommended in applications where required.

Incorporates two built-in heat resistant seals, preventing air pressure loss even if the valve core is damaged or dirty.

Seal is located away from the opening, reducing contamination and risk of leakage.

Always torque the valve nutPrevents over torquing which damages the grommet and create risk of leakage.

Do your valves have a hex slot on the bottom? Eliminates the valve from spinning during installation by using allen wrench to secure valve.

Importance of the grommetMyers Premier valves feature a premium nut and cap, a red high temperature Viton grommet, a red high temperature valve core seal, hexagon with slot on valve bottom and a brass/nickel valve core. (For 550 and 540 series valves)

Stop loosing air pressure due to failed extension by using AIR-FLEXX Valve ExtensionsThe pin in the extension opens the tire valve only when checking pressure or inflating. If the extension is cut in half or broken no pressure is lost from the tire.
