Promote student safety
Not to be used for continual monitoring, teacher evaluation, etc.
Audio / Video recording in any self-contained classroom or other special education setting
Special education services provided to at least 50% of the students for at least 50% of the day
Audio / Video coverage for all areas of the classroom
Audio only coverage in areas where students change clothes (i.e. restrooms)
Retain recorded video for 6 months
Written notification must be provided to staff and parents of students in classroom(s)
No opt out or veto provision

Human Resources staff member designed by the Board of Trustees in response to a complaint or as part of an investigation
Appropriate agency or State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) personnel or agents as part of an investigation
