What is Productivity ?

Successful companies create a surplus through productive operations. Although there is no complete agreement on the true meaning of productivity. But productivity means to achieve complete target with maximum output and minimum loss without affected quality. Let us define it as the output-input ratio within a time period with due consideration for quality.

Productivity = Outputs / Inputs

The formula indicates that productivity can be improved

1. By increasing outputs with the same inputs2. By decreasing inputs but maintaining the same outputs3. By increasing outputs and decreasing inputs to change the ratio

manager has business attitudes and they can develop productivity. A company business depends on productivity, services and also other single factor. PROPER PLANNING :

A. Minimum change over :

From Proper planning you will get best productivity. Minimum change over in product always you will get good productivity. More change over always effect on productivity, they reduce your productivity, machine life, electricity and man power.

B. Clearing about work :

When you are going for planning make your mind clear. What do want, how you will get product, how much minimum man power you can utilized. How much electricity you can save. All kind of question you have to put on paper and as per paper planning you can go thru.

Production people also get machine knowledge their prevention and always go for maintenance day to get product without any brake down. Maintain all the system of machinery with knowledge. Always go for maintenance day in a every week. So we can get more out put and less rejection.

Manager / Line Manager / Supervisor get knowledge of every key function of system of machinery. With this knowledge we can control abnormal breakdown of system of machinery.

The key questions in this area can be summarized as follows. Because every production managers have to satisfied their customers also improvement in productivity.

1. What is our business?2. Who are the business customers?3. What do our customers want? 4 Do we wish to be a product leader?5. Do we wish to develop our own new products?6. Are we a good manufacturer to serve our customer needs?7. Are we get good yield from product ?8. How should we respond o existing and potential competition?

If any defect in production try to solve the problem and every people has only one goal that solution should be at the source of problem. And do the best for future prevention.

How can improve the productivity :

Managers / line managers / Staffs should know how they self improve and make the company’s improvement can. Quality has an element of cost consideration in it. Idea is to minimize the cost with quality as the constraint. In production proper planning play the most role for improve the productivity

Not only production but when you will get raw material from store. First you check is it check / realized by Q. A. or not. Now a days all employee has to prove their ability by every side.

Company built new facilities expanded services and added staff. Almost all quality improvement comes by manufacturing layout, processes and procedures, productivity. To achieve productivity target everyone should work hard. And managers have to involvement every one to get productivity. Today’s we are stand as place where everyone should know that the success of any effort at improving quality and productivity must include their employees.

Today’s companies face lots of problem of shortage labor. Some time company also face absenteeism of staff and workers because of this problem company can’t get productivity. Because of that currently so many companies going for atomization system. This system company can use minimum manpower with more productivity. So this system solve absenteeism problem. Manually system has so many changes over but atomization system solves most of the problem. This system solve change control problem and also can’t create big errors.

Concentration towards work and also work experience increase productivity. Here team work is also most efficient part of improvement. When you are going to learn always go deep n deep. You will get benefit for increase productivity. When you are on job always enjoy your work. Every positive sense you will get automatically improvement in production.

Always prepare a goal for zero defect production, if not get find out the problem and stop defective production. If you know where the problem, do not maintain silent observes of defects / faults. Always reporting to your supervisor or line manager or manager

TRAINING FOR IMPROVEMENT IN PRODUCTION :

Always give a proper or related training to workers about work and product. Avoid such type off non productive talk which can decease productivity also can arise conflict this type of communication. Always production manager / line manager / staff and workers all employees have to work with efficiently and effectively in positive ways. Train the fellow staff or workers. They should be aware of the quality standard of products. Always think about innovative idea. Co – operate and co – ordinate the with others. Always think about work – in – group and accept any kind of challenge in work.

With on – the – job or off – the – job Manager can prepare the working team, so they can do best with innovative ideas, go on suggesting for continuous improvements and continue the flow of production. Prepare manpower that has also interest to get higher production. When you are at work place always positive attitude. Negative attitude always affected productivity. Always think about good innovative idea to make easy to get more productivity. Some time misunderstanding regarding work due to language, feedback of product or also negative attitude.

Improving productivity sometimes can just be a matter of a company getting out of its own way. As people strive to receive promotions, there is a natural for new policies and practices to be established. These new policies can improve productivity, profit and stable in market. Manager has to identify proper productivity measurement to get productivity.
