GMDS(Generator Monitoring & Diagnosis System)

YPP GMDS is an integrated diagnosis system of generators. It allows for the prediction and monitoring of the operation

processes of generators in an integrated manner.

The system assists users for offensive responses against variety

of troubles that may take place during the operation processes of

generators through predicting and monitoring a variety of incidents,

including the insulation break of the stator winding, the Layer Short

High voltage generator for electrostatic precipitator (EP) consists of transformer for outdoor rectifier (T / R) and indoor control panel.

Transformer for outdoor rectifier supplies high DC voltage and

current necessary for electric precipitation. The output voltage

of T / R should remain close to ignition point for effective work of

electric precipitation. T / R consists of transformer, current limiting

reactor and rectifier that is formed by single-phase half wave

rectification, including high-speed switching.

The parts embedded in oil tank should be completely sealed

and painted for outdoor purpose. Control panel contains thyristor

DC Submarine Cables

The demand for DC submarine cables is continuously increasing due to (ultra) long-distance grid connections among countries and

power transmission from offshore wind power generation hubs to

the mainland. Low attenuation power transmission is feasible through

HVDC submarine cables.

LS Cable & System can produce extruded cross-linked

polyethylene (XLPE) and mass-impregnated non-draining (MIND) DC

Extra-high Voltage_XLPE Insulation Cables

The basic material for XLPE is polyethylene, which is chemically transformed to cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) through the cross-

link reaction of organic peroxides. The cross-link method for

polyethylene was developed in the United States during the 1950’s

and has since been continuously developed for application to

higher voltages. Higher voltages are increasingly being required,

and the 500kV XLPE cables have already been commercialized.
