Your Australian experience

Australia is one of the world’s top internship destinations. It is a dynamic and vibrant country with friendly, confident people. Living in a multicultural nation with over 20 million people, you’ll be able to travel and gain practical experience in a supportive and professional environment.

Your Australian experience can take you to

vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, tropical

rainforests, barren deserts, and some of

the most beautiful beaches on earth.

AdelaideWith a population of 1.2 million people,

Adelaide is Australia’s most affordable

state capital. Known as the food and wine

capital, it has more restaurants per head of

population than any other major Australian

city. The climate varies from 18°C in winter

to 35°C in summer. You can enjoy the

surrounding wine growing areas of the

Barossa Valley and Clare Valley, long sandy

beaches on the peninsula, the dramatic

Flinders Ranges and wildlife on Kangaroo

Island. There are many cultural and historic

attractions in Adelaide, including the

Adelaide Botanic Garden, Adelaide Zoo and

the South Australian Museum.

BrisbaneWith a population of 2 million, Brisbane is

the state capital of Queensland. The climate

is warm all year round, with summer highs of

36°C. In Brisbane itself, you can explore the

City Botanic Gardens, Lone Pine Koala

Sanctuary and Southbank Parklands. One

hour’s drive south is the Gold Coast and one

hour’s drive north is the Sunshine Coast,

both renowned for their long sandy beaches.

Australia Zoo, Movieworld, Dreamworld

and Seaworld are all nearby.

Melbourne

Melbourne, in the south-east of Australia,

has a population of 3.2 million people and

is a cosmopolitan and multi-cultural city.

Average daily temperatures range from

14°C in winter to 35°C in summer. Local

attractions include the Melbourne Cricket

Ground, St Kilda beach, art galleries,

theatres and museums. There’s plenty to

see in the surrounding areas of Victoria

including the Great Ocean Road, snowfi elds

in the high country, vineyards in the Yarra

Valley, and the history of the Goldfi elds

region. Don’t miss the fairy penguins on

Phillip Island!

PerthThe capital of Western Australia, Perth, has

wonderful beaches where you can watch

the sun set over the ocean and many parks

along the Swan River. The historic harbour

town of Fremantle and the vineyards of the

Margaret River region are nearby. The

weather is always pleasant, with average

daily temperatures ranging from 20°C to

36°C year-round.

SydneyWith a population of 4.5 million, Sydney is

Australia’s largest city and a popular

destination for travellers from all over the

world. There is so much to see and do in

the city: you can explore Sydney Harbour

by ferry, the Opera House, Taronga Zoo,

Bondi Beach and the historic Rocks area.

Nearby you’ll fi nd the Blue Mountains,

Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley wine

region and endless beaches along the

Sapphire Coast.
