The careers in Professional Services event is suitable for learners who are interested in careers including accountancy, business, law and other professional services. The potential for continued growth in the financial and professional sector in Birmingham and the region remains promising, already accounting for over 100,000 jobs across the West Midlands.

Accounting or financial services qualifications can lead to a vast array of career opportunities in areas such as investment banking, commercial banks, building societies, independent financial advisers, business analysis, insurance, stock broking and many more. This industry is very important to the UK economy, and many opportunities exist to find well paid employment.

Qualifications in law can lead to many career opportunities such as a barrister, solicitor, corporate lawyer or legal executive and many other careers which law graduates follow such as in the police, probation service, local government or the crown prosecution service.

Society together with a range of organisations from within the financial and professional services sector.

We run a series of FREE careers events throughout the year. The careers evenings give students the opportunity to find out information about different careers and qualifications needed to achieve their career aims.

Speakers from various related professions give an insight into their career paths and answer questions about their own work roles.
