Exceptional Experiences/Training

1. Participation in Manufacturing of the Parallel Computer (apeNEXT) 2002-2005 http://globe-meta.ifh.de:8080/lenya/hpc/live/APE.html

This is a parallel massive supercomputer constructed to perform lattice QCD simulations (QCD=Quantum

Chromo-Dynamics). As a member of the Bielefeld group from 2002 to 2006, I have contributed with:

• Participation in the development apeNEXT for 3 years

• Inventing, testing and operation c-library and an operating system for apeNEXT

• Testing the whole design before the fabrication process

2. Informatics (eBanking & eMedicine) 1999 In 1999 during my post-doctoral position at “Institute for Informatics” at Trier University:

a. I was part of a team aiming at inventing a “virtual investor’s bureau” for the Trier city allowing

investors to access almost all pieces of non-sensitive information they need to decide for their

possible investment in the city, and

b. I also was participating in an “eBanking Project” with the well-know “Deutsche Bank”. Concretely,

I was responsible for “Electronic Signature”.

3. High-School Teacher for Physics and Mathematics 2004-2017 I have absolved the German State Exam „Erste Staatsprüfung für das Lehramt an Gymnasien und Gesamtschulen in Physik und Mathematik“ as a prerequisit for „Teacher Career“.

• 2005, „Studienseminar für Lehrämter an Schulen Bielefeld II“, which is a training seminar for Teachers. I was employed as “High School Teacher“ at the „Max-Planck Gymnasium” in Bielefeld-Germany, https://www.mpg-bielefeld.de/

4. Rescue Vehicle for ISS (International Space Station) 2000-2001 Main part of my job in Institute for Plasma Research at Stuttgart University 2000-2001 was devoted to:

• Numerical Simulation of the interaction of the outer surfaces of the rescue vehicles with the with

the components of the Earth atmosphere

• Testing the thermal properties of the various coating materials using the wind champers

5. Instrumentational Automatization (MIRACLE Lab) 1995-1999 (http://www.geocities.com/dr_a_tawfik/miracle.html/)

It is an automatic device for grabbing/analysing of nuclear tracks registered in the photo-emulsion

detector. Details are partially published in

Paper: Comput.Phys.Commun.118:49-60, 1999, DOI: 10.1016/S0010-4655(98)00196-9
