BAM International bv is an operating company of Royal BAM Group. Founded

in the Netherlands in 1869, Royal BAM Group is one of the largest European

construction firms. The Group comprises various operating companies, each with

its own subsidiaries and specialisations, and thus provides a complete range of

activities to enable the undertaking of large-scale projects independently or in

joint ventures.

BAM International’s mission is to deploy the contracting activities of Royal BAM

Group and its subsidiaries outside Europe. Since its establishment in 1958,

BAM International has gained broad international experience and know-how in

the fields of marine work, general building, infrastructure and industrial projects.

Marine

The Dutch are respected worldwide

for their unique experience in the

field of designing and constructing

marine engineering projects.

The gigantic ‘Delta Works’ project,

which was completed in 1987,

General building

BAM International has constructed

buildings all over the world, ranging

from high-rise office towers in

Dubai, luxury hotels and hospitals

stadiums in South Africa.

Completed projects include a

contract for all external buildings

and landscaping of one of the most

impressive hotels and conference

venues ever built, as well as the

turnkey construction of a 60-storey

skyscraper shaped like a tornado

twist in Qatar.

Infrastructure

Economic exploitation of industrial,

commercial and non-commercial

activities requires adequate

infrastructure. BAM International’s

record in this field is impressive and

ranges from roads, bridges, airports,

railways and viaducts to aqueducts

in remote areas, dredged access

channels and turning basins.

Completed projects include the

construction of three highway

tunnels in a large and busy US city at

only a slight depth beneath very

busy rail tracks. This challenge was

met safely and effectively by

applying innovative methods of soil

stabilisation by grouting and

freezing.

Other major projects include sewage

treatment plants, water supply

systems, hydro-electric power plants

and large-scale civil engineering

projects such as dams and irrigation

works.

Industrial
