RELATED EXPERIENCE

PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT (1996 – 1998, 2014 - present)

Deloitte & Touche Management Consulting Performed Activity-Based Costing and schedule performance assessments for various aerospace companies. Developed an optimized cradle-to-grave product development cycle for D&T’s Aerospace Consulting Group.

Self-employed as Project/Business Management Consultant Working with Pro Sports Institute to develop and produce a line of specialized fitness equipment. Responsible for designing hardware that is optimized for manufacturability, cost, and quality.

PROJECT ENGINEERING / MANAGEMENT (1998 – 2012)

International Space Station Managed technical and schedule aspects of two multi-million dollar International Space Station segments

through design, manufacturing, verification, and NASA sell-off phases. Met production and delivery schedules despite significant resource constraints. Customer wrote a commendation letter for my superior customer service and project management skills.

GPS IIF Satellites Brought on track system requirements and verification effort that was 1+ years behind schedule. Responsibilities included: assembling and leading the systems engineering verification team; defining the

work, schedule, and budget; managing team resources to on-time completion; analyzing technical, cost, and schedule risks/impacts; resolving technical/schedule/cost issues; and presenting status to management.

Based on my success with this team effort, I was asked to provide project management support to another GPS requirements and verification team that was behind schedule.

Other project management work included developing work-plans/schedules and analyzing/managing costs for the systems integration test group, running a technical review board to resolve system test issues, and procuring system test support equipment.

SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (1986 – 1993)

International Space Station System designer for the Extravehicular Activities System (EVAS) on two space station segments.

Commercial Aircraft System engineer in propulsion and electrical engineering groups on MD-11 aircraft program.
