Thousands of students rely solely on school lunches as their primary source of food intake.The Northern Illinois Food Bank is committed to helping children like the two pictured above get the food and nutrition they need in order to eat throughout the weekend and live a healthy lifestyle. The Northern Illinois Food Bank’s BackPack Program provides chronically hungry children shelf-stable and nutritious meals for the entire weekend. Since initiated in 2008, the Northern Illinois Food Bank has partnered with 93 schools across 13 counties to provide children with backpacks containing food as a

part of their program. The meals consist of two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners with enough food to feed up to three people. The food bank can provide a backpack full of food for only $15. Northern Illinois Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, is a non-profit organization that engages the community in a commitment to feed our hungry neighbors. Food manufacturers, local groceries, corporations,

foundations, and individuals come together to donate food and funds, and evaluate and repack food for distribution to more than 700 network

partners – the food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and youth and senior feeding programs that serve more than 60,000 hungry neighbors each week across 13 counties. That commitment provided more than 33 million meals last year to those in need. Northern Illinois Food Bank has centers in Geneva (West Suburban Center), Park City (North Suburban

The Intellects are a live hip-hop trio consisting of Banksthegenuis, theKidDirty, and Jonny Lew. The group was formed in late 2011 with one

intention- to melt the faces of Generation Y with mind blowing, ear blasting, soulful and glorious music..

A Prophet of Pirates (Folk): The band’s name, A Prophet of Pirates, derives

from the need to be a symbol of truth and originality among the "pirates" we come across in everyday life. Every song is coated in intoxicating harmonies

and catchy guitar parts, assisted by drums and bells.
