Dr. Satyanarayana V. Nandury is working as Chief Scientist in CSIR-Indian Institute of ChemicalTechnology (CSIR-IICT) Hyderabad, and is involved in the Business Development activity ofthe Institute. He is also the heading the Environment & Fossil Fuels group. Dr. Satyanarayanais PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and MBA from XLRI,Jamshedpur. Dr. Satyanarayana is a professor in AcSIR (Academy of Scientific & innovativeResearch), a university created through act of parliament.

Dr. Satyanarayana worked for 20 years in CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory Jamshedpur,where he was heading the Super Computer Facility for Process Simulation, Modeling &Automation. Two of his technologies received CSIR Best Technology awards.He participatedin the Indian Scientific Expedition team to Antarctica in 1997, to commission the technologiesrelated to upper atmosphere studies. Three of his research publications received best paperawards.Dr. Satyanarayanais on several committees like Nanotechnology Mission, DST, DIPP,DoP, CII, Govs of AP, Telangana, MSME-DI, ASCI, CPPRI etc.

Dr. Satyanarayana has played a key role in establishing the first Biotechnology IncubationCentre operating on PPP mode, and is presently the Secretary of BTIC. He recently, establishedthe Advanced Analytical & Characterization Resource (AACR) Facility for the biotech& pharmaindustry in the Genome Valley Hyderabad, with support from CSIR-IICT and BIRAC/DBT.

Thereshe worked on convolution inequalities and their applications on parabolic partial differentialequations.

Dr. Bhaskar worked as Civil Engineer for Provincial Government in India for nearly seven years.During this period, he was involved in planning and implementation of varied developmentaland anti-poverty programmes, including bio-energy projects. After joining the Indian ForeignService in 1993, he served in the Indian Embassy, Cairo and Consulate General of India, Jeddah.During 2000-03, Dr. Bhaskar served as Representative of India to Palestine. Dr. Bhaskar alsoserved in various capacities in Latin America Division, West Asia & North Africa Division, andSouth East Asia Division in the Ministry of External Affairs. Prior to taking over as Joint Secretary(WANA) in Ministry of External Affairs, he served as Deputy Head of Mission in Beijing, he alsoserved as Minister in Embassy of India, Washington DC.

Dr. Bhaskar has delivered guest lectures in several Indian and foreign universities on the MiddleEast and Indian economy, among other topics. He authored a book on “Energy Security andEconomic Development in India – A Holistic Approach”. The book was published by TERI andDr. Pachauri, Director General, TERI wrote foreword to this book. Dr. Bhaskar is fluent in English,Arabic, Telugu and Hindi languages. He is married to Mrs. Kavitha and has one son and onedaughter.
