Jill is moving away from home for the first time
to come to the Art Institute of Seattle. She is Eds’
daughter. She knows he is worried for her-but
she is independent and knows she will be fine on
her own, but was excited to get a new smart
phone, even though she really wanted a car.
She downloaded all the cool Apps to play games
and music and such, and her Dad asked if there
was an App that would help her get around.
She is new to the area, wants to be able to find
her way around quickly using a map, the local
bus and trains, with having a quick reference for
phone numbers to call someone for help getting
if she gets lost. She also loves student activities
and wants to know what clubs might be available
for her.

Ed is 42, married and is nervous for his first
daughter to moving out of state 3000 miles away
to go to college at the Art Institute of Seattle. He
wanted to be able to stay in touch at a moments
notice, so he bought two new smart phones-one
for him and one for her.
He visited the school with her when she first got
accepted and knows some of the Seattle area. He
is planning to come visit at least once a month to
go out and have dinner with her.
He is worried , and is looking for an App that
will help her get to know her area around school
and meet new people, while he can also use it to
understand what she sees. He thinks an App that
has Activity Lists and mentorship locations will
be a big help for her to get adjusted to being
away from home.

Bill is 28, married with two boys & one girl.
He has decided to go back to school to earn
his BA. He had to convince his wife it was
the only way for him to get ahead in the
workplace. He graduated from Art Institute
six years ago with his Associates.
He has to manage his time, as he will still be
working part-time at his current job, but he
also wants to be more involved with School
Clubs to help him reconnect as well as meet
more people who will help him with his
advancing career.
He thinks having an App for his phone to
help him find his way on campus and be
updated with all the new clubs that are
going on will help him get back into the
swing of being a student again.
