Capacity Building for Sustainable Public Procurement in Developing Countries
(UNEP 2010)• Supported by the European Commission, Switzerland, the
Organization of Francophone countries - and implemented by UNEP.
• Seven pilot countries: Mauritius, Tunisia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Uruguay, Chile and Lebanon.
• Every country conformed a technical team with public entities, academia, science and technology centers.

• Each public entity incorporates environmental or social criteria in its procurement requirements, but not in a structured or integrated way
• It is necessary to implement a formal training on sustainability aspects for the procurement personnel not only on legal framework
• Each public entity manages independently its procurement plans and processes.
