PROJECT BRIEF CASE SCENARIO Seventy Seven Café and Restaurant is a leading café and restaurant in Victoria with 3 different branches in Melbourne, Geelong and Mornington Peninsula. Established more than 20 years ago, 77 Café has a reputation throughout the state of providing quality of food and service at reasonable prices. 77 Café provides a wide range of gourmet foods, home-made sauces and condiments, book recipes and a lot more. Recently, 77 Café has undergone business restructuring due to growing competition in the state. The reduction of market share due to low service efficiency has made the owner Mr. Vince Brando decide to invest in their IT infrastructure. 77 café and Restaurant The 77 Café owner hired an ICT & Business Manager Mr. Vin Winner to undertake an extensive analysis of the environment and the organisation as a whole. The findings and recommendations from this have led to a significant change in company direction. The key corporate goals established to bring about the necessary corporate change include:
1. To aggressively market a new image of excellence in food and customer service at affordable prices. 2. Present a picture (and achieve it) of a fun family outing when dining at 77 café. To accomplish this 77
café need to provide a fast service investing in their IT infrastructure. 3. To make these goals possible it is essential that all staff are fully trained and capable in all areas of
company operation. Administrations employee’s need to be fully knowledgeable in using accounting,
inventory and payroll systems. Restaurant staff need to know how to use the POS systems and deliver first class customer service.
4. To establish staff capable of attaining these goals and ensuring a corporate culture of service and excellence is fostered.
