Project ScopeThe scope of the project is to expand our company from one (1) floor to three (3) floors within a six (6) month time frame. Since the merger and acquisition of i-Web services, incorporated require that we move into a larger space and being that we are a relatively new company; we currently have limited technology infrastructure to support the business. Therefore, to accommodate this growth, all information technology (hardware and software) must be reengineered to meet organizational needs.

Control MeasuresThe Project Manager wil l exercise the fol lowing processes below to control the scope of the project : Estimating schedule act ivi ty durat ions - This process includes monitoring the

durat ion of the scheduled act ivi ty, the scope of work, the required resource types, est imated resource quanti t ies , and resource calendars with resource avai labi l i t ies .

Identi fy the Activi ty Defini t ion process which involves ident ifying and documenting the planned work to be performed. During this process, the PM wil l ident ify the del iverables a t the lowest level (work package) in the work breakdown st ructure (WBS).

Will manage the Activi ty Sequencing process which involves the ident if icat ion and documentat ion of the logical relat ionships among schedule act ivi t ies .

Oversee the Monitor & Control Project Work process by col lect ing, measuring and distr ibut ing performance information, as well as assess measurements and trends that effect process improvements .

Adhere to a s tr ic t Schedule development process in an effort to determine planned start and f inish dates for project act ivi t ies (Robust Web, 2002).

Competitive AdvantageIn terms of Virtualization, the expected cost savings are insurmountable. The ongoing cloud migration has created a new set of challenges for organizations with data-intensive applications. Workloads that require greater processing power often find that traditional, virtual clouds can’t provide an acceptable level of performance and throughput. Virtualization is an innovative technology that helps companies save vast amounts of money and provides the ability to operate with greater efficiency. Large companies with vast IT resources such as Inter-Nations®, Inc. will certainly realize a cost savings in hardware infrastructure in the following areas:

Aspects of our new Information Technology PlanAs the technology matures, the trend is for organizations to extend cloud deployments to even more flexible private, hybrid, and public cloud models that promise exciting new ways to expand the scope of value-added business services, address top priorities l ike Big Data and the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) init iatives, and deliver enterprise applications as services. And, since Inter-Nations® is an internet-based organization; aligning these technologies with our business processes for the purpose of attaining organizational goals is paramount.

Aspects of our new Information Technology PlanThe use of Data Warehousing architecture is an essential component for a contemporary organization such as Inter-Nations®, Inc. Data Warehousing has been known to support various application and technology categories such as gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to data to help enterprise users make better business decisions. These applications also include the activities of decision support systems, query and reporting, online analytical processing (OLAP), statist ical analysis, forecasting, and data mining. Data warehousing (or data mart) system is the backend, or the infrastructural component for achieving these operations. Data warehousing also includes the insight gained from doing data analysis, as well as unstructured data thus the need for content management systems.

Aspects of our new Information Technology PlanWith this being a global Internet and data center solution’s organization; the chosen Physical Database Warehouse schema, Entity Relationship, Data Flow Diagram (DRD) and Input and Output map, will be used as the information technology implementations for our data warehousing design.

The next two slides provide a diagrammatical illustration of the database schema and Data Flow of Input and Outputs relating to the information technologies that will be implemented into the project plan.
