With a view to ensure the quality of the Project work done by Diploma students, TheChairman, Board of Examinations is pleased to appoint you (as per Annexure) as the Head ofStudent Project Monitoring Committeefor Institutions noted against your name in the annexureenclosed.

They are authorized to appoint members for the Monitoring Committee, one each from theteaching faculty of major branches of study, viz., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics &

Computer Engineering either from their Institutions or from any of the nearby Government /Government-aided Institutions. Members may be selected from Self Financing Institutions only onexceptional cases. Senior faculties with previous experience in guiding Project Works with aminimum of B.E. qualification are to be selected as Committee members. If necessary, one moremember may be appointed for the minor courses, when any of the Institutions allotted to you hasany such Courses.

The Principals of the Institutions allotted to you will submit the list of projects selected by theirstudents, branch-wise, with the names of students in each batch before 22.07.2014 with a shortnote about each project. The Committee headed by you shall go through the proposal carefullyand approve the list submitted by them, with its comments and suggestions, if any, and send the

approved list to them before 18.08.2014.

While approving the list, it should be seen that,

the project has to be done by the students themselves and not by any outsider, that is, thediploma students with their own knowledge and skill shall be able to do the project withfacultys guidance

repetition of same project done by any other batch of same year / previous years shall notbe permitted

the main motive of the project shall be gaining of knowledge and skill by the students andnot the mere improvement of infrastructure facility of Institutions

the expense towards the project work shall not be a big burden to the parents the work involved in the project is to be worth-while for the number of students involved in

the project for about six months duration

the total number of students in a batch shall not exceed six

there should be enough staff guidance available in the Institution. readymade assembled projects should not be considered as a project.

The Head of the Monitoring Committee is eligible for a remuneration of Rs.1/- per candidate; the

Members of the Committee are eligible for a remuneration of Rs.3/- per candidate of their branch.They are not eligible for any T.A. or D.A. After completion of the Monitoring Process of all branchesof all Institutions allotted to them, the remuneration may be claimed.

You are requested to inform the Principals of the Institutions allotted to you, regarding thisappointment immediately and ask them to submit the list to you before 22.07.2014. If anyInstitution does not comply with the instructions, it should be reported to the Chairman, Board ofExaminations for taking further action.
