Usually prepared for people who are not familiar with either your organisation or your project

The proposal plan gives the reader all the information needed about you and the activity you have in mind.

plan before issuing you a loan, a funder needs to see a project proposal.

A . About Your Organisation- ensure this is interesting and inspiring. Include:

Background of your organisation or group

How it started and why it started

Its core activities and services

Its experience, skilled people involved, third party support

Past accomplishment with other projects.



A . About Your Organisation- Example

ABC Charity is an international organization working with people who have disability including persons who are blind, deaf, mobility impaired, as well as parents’ groups. It was created to help people with disabilities help them-selves. Activities include leadership training, public education, and income generation. Every year we organize international events during the disability week to highlight the need for a change in public services that are not disable friendly. We are renowned for our radio interviews, training workshops and talent shows. This year we hope to make our events even bigger with an international training seminar for people with disabilities.



B . Who are the partners working with you?

Demonstrate you have other organisations involved in the project

State who they are and describe their involvement

If you have been involving government bodies or other businesses, even if only for funding, this support adds strength to your proposal.

The involvement of other organizations in your project shows that you have support from your community and can access skills you might not have within your organisation.



C . Who are the beneficiaries?

The beneficiaries are the people on whose behalf the project is being organized.

The beneficiaries include the participants who will benefit directly from their involvement in the project.

There will be indirect beneficiaries, who may not be active in the project but whose lives will be affected nonetheless.
