The briefWe were tasked with refurbishing the dated reception area within 6 Park Street in Cardiff and creating a modern show piece, as the main focal point upon entry to the building.

Project deliveryThe dated reception area was dominated with cherry timber cladding. Our design team were given freedom to revolutionise the area with a minimal brief. Using LED lighting integrated within both the new bespoke Corian & oak reception desk and in the oak feature wall behind the reception desk. The area was transformed into a spacious and bright new showstopper, with the help of decorations and new wall graphics.

Further work completed by us included the refurbishment of the ground floor toilets. The mixed-use facility required a new cubicle system, new sanitary ware and an overall facelift for the space. This was completed during the same time as the reception.

The whole project was undertaken with 6 floors being fully oc-cupied, but with the help of the in-house security and careful planning & segregation, we were able to complete this project within the 7-week time frame with minimal disruption to the current building occupants.
