    FADE IN

    EXT. SAFARI-DAY

Two LIONS hide beneath the African grass. They arecamouflaged and ready for their prey. The GAZETTES are

drinking water from the pond, unaware of their predator.

    NARRATOR (V.O.)(Wise, ancient voice)

Survival of the fittest. A commonphrase used to describe the processof evolution. Some disputeevolution as a theory, a fairytale, an explanation written by amad man.

The gazettes continue to gaze in the distance.

NARRATOR (V.O.)Charles Darwin was once considereda madman in his times. No one couldbelieve what he had come up with.An idea so preposterous that itchallenged the fundamentals andideas that had ran the world fortwo thousands years. Who wouldbelieve that we humans, consciousintellectual sentient would comefrom tribal apes?

The lions dash from their spot and jump at their prey.Surprised, the deers start to escape but its too late forthem. The lions catch up

NARRATOR (V.O.)Evolution is a passive process. Wemay not see it, but it is presentdaily. We may be the top of thefood chain, but someone, or something can take our throne-our wayof life. And when that happens, wemust be ready.

Their sharp claws dig deep into the soft flesh of the deerand hold it in place. Blood oozes out as the lions bite thedeers necks. The deers struggle but gives up and lielifeless on the ground. Their predators violently shredtheir flesh apart, spilling more blood onto the ground.

    INT. CELL - UNKNOWN

XCU - FACE OF YOUNG GIRL

A bubbly face of a YOUNG GIRL, mid teens, uncomfortable inher sleep. We share her dream as we start to hear SOUNDS OFSCREAMS fading in and out. She starts to yell out words, but

we can not make out what it is.

    YOUNG GIRLAaah!

The girl wakes up all of the sudden. Cold sweat fills herforehead. She takes a moment to breathe. It was only a baddream.

She sits up and looks around. The room looks empty. Foreign.A dim light bulb illuminates the room. The only furniture isher bed on which she is lying on.

The girl tries to get up, but falls. She is weak. Shenotices something strange; she is wearing a white scrub withslippers. On her right hand is a metal bracelet. It looks tobe quite tight, as if its heavily ingrained into her arm. Aset of numerals, LXXVI are printed on it.

    CLICK.

The girl jerks up immediately to the sound. A tiny GREEN LEDLIGHT appearing on a wall in front. The walls slide away, revealing a doorway.

    INT. HALLWAY - UNKNOWN

    YOUNG GIRLHello?

Her voice echoes. It is pitch black. The only light is herroom behind her.

She looks behind her. Her room looks distant and blurry.Without hesitation, she turns around and steps right into

the elevator, the doors closing as the ceiling lights startto shut down one by one.

    INT. VAULT - UNKNOWN

The elevator doors open. A dark room. In front lies a longRED LADDER, illuminated by light on top. The girl comes nearand looks up. Light.

She starts to climb. Never looking down, she keeps climbing. Her arms and legs faster at each step.

    EXT. HILL - DAY

COLD WIND blows right into her face as she climbs out of thehole. The girl stands up. We share her bewilderment via POV- a SMALL TOWN landlocked by mountains lie bellow the hill.

    EXT. TOWN - DAY

The girl approaches the town. It is quiet. Buildings arealigned to the same dimensions, cars are parked everywhere.Trees are found on every corner and roads are clean. It

    feels...perfect. Too perfect.
