Bullet Train Feasibility Survey Looking at the social aspect of future passengers traveling by bullet trains.

What is our focus? Aiming to make a difference for all the people who are living in

Texas travelling among the cities.

Offering other transportation choice that is Environmentally friendly.

Underlining the concerns of people whose travelling by other transportations.

Focusing on people’s point of view about bullet trains.

Passenger’s reaction and satisfaction of bullet trains initiation.

MethodologyThis Survey was undertaken between 20th of April and 1st of

May.

Surveys have been conducted among people who possibly had taken trips to regions in Texas that may be served by bullet trains.

Surveys were conducted in University of Houston campus, Medical Center area, and Galleria district.

The survey were handled to verity of people from different backgrounds, age, and perspective.

The Survey: As of May 3rd, 282 residents took time to review the survey

and share their opinion on bullet trains.

Data has been collected, and analyzed to be presented.

Key Result:

The percentage of people satisfied with the idea of constructing bullet trains was 81 per cent.

The percentage of people thought that it would lead to

The transition to cleaner environment was 64 per cent.

The comments ranged from complete support of bullet trains to oppositions to the building of the entire system, and concerns about safety and cost.

Suggestions and comments: It will be great as long as it’s safe and cost

efficient. Make it cost effective, especially in the south.

people wont choose bullet trains over cars or airplanes if it can’t compete economy.

I wish Houston will invest in one! It is a great idea. It would reduce the traffic and

use of gasoline. Might be really expensive but it is a great idea,

especially here in Houston.


I think it is a good idea. The U.S.A lags behind a number of developed countries when it comes to traveling by trains.

Use solar power to generate electricity inside the train.

I like the idea, I am just worried about the cost to build it, and also what types of cities they would be built in.

Have more space for baggage. I really think bullet trains will make transportation

better.

Suggestions and comments: Too expensive to be feasible in Houston. If it were a nationwide project, it could be

succeeded. If it localized, its success depends on commuters.

How would it effect the infrastructure of large cities. Who would pay to build it? Use nuclear power to operate the train. We enjoy a great project from this in China!. Highly

recommended, safe, fast, and convenient.
