Issues, Facts, and Points of Interest:
•The City of Buffalo’s 2005 Expanded Project Proposalrecommended that future studies of the ScajaquadaExpressway extend up to, but not include, the I190 ramps.
•The Black Rock tolls were removed by the New YorkState Thruway Authority on I190 on October 30th, 2006. In2007, the toll barriers were physically removed. The effectof these changes on traffic patterns along NYS Route 198are currently under study.
•The outlet of Scajaquada Creek was the site of multipleskirmishes during the War of 1812.
•A new connection to the Scajaquada Pathway was recentlycompleted at West Avenue, providing a continuous linkfor pedestrians and bicyclists from this point to DelawarePark.
