Covid-19

TEP takes its responsibility as an employer extremely seriously and with regards to the Covid-19 situation we have put in place a Risk Assessment and Procedure to ensure our staff are safe and well. TEP is currently following the government guidelines in terms of working practices and our staff are continuing to work at home were possible.  This position along with all other matters related to Covid-19 are under regular review by our company Directors.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate for this positon will be required to work from home until government guidance and subsequent TEP policies change.

We fully appreciate Covid-19 presents a number of challenges and we acknowledge that you may have questions on this topic. During interview we will provide further details on the Covid-19 situation and provide you with an opportunity to discuss any such matters.

Given the current situation, and in line with Government advice, interviews for this position will be conducted via video conference call.

The Opportunity

TEP’s arboriculture service is well established, and has always been a core part of our business. The team has grown steadily to deliver a diverse range of projects across all major sectors throughout the UK and we are now seeking to further increase our presence in Mid and Southern England.

The role will suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is open to new opportunities and innovative ways of working. You would sit within our 11-strong team of arboricultural experts, offering involvement in projects ranging from small scale risk assessment up to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. You would also work alongside TEP’s ecologists, landscape designers, land managers and environmental planners to build on our strength as a multi-disciplinary consultancy.

Day to day working would be out of TEP’s Market Harborough office but you should anticipate working away from home on occasion as well as the opportunity to visit TEPs regional offices as project, social events or training priorities dictate.

The Role and Requirements

The role will involve working on development-related projects, producing the full range of documents and activities described by BS 5837. You will also be expected to undertake tree risk inspections and other surveys using cutting-edge software designed by TEP. Outputs will be produced in the form of written reports, CAD drawings, excel spreadsheets and client presentations.

You must have excellent report-writing skills and would ideally be able to demonstrate experience in the preparation of quotations, time management and budget control.
