• We have identified school drop out as one of rendered consequences when a parent isdiagnosed to have cancer. While public hospitals are able to provide treatment ataffordable cost, loss of ability to generate income, in addition to other non-medicalexpenses can strain the family finance*, and some children lose the opportunity tocontinue schooling.

• Projek Sambung Sekolah (PSS, or Max Schooling) aims to provide assistance to suchchildren.

“PSS allows patients to focus on treatment, reduce treatment default and minimize additional stresses about their children’s schooling. This will increase the rate of optimal outcomes..

PSS is important to the children as an opportunity to continue schooling. Education is fundamental to improve an individual’s future.” .

Dr Tan Sen Mui, Head of Hematology Department, Hospital Ampang

“PSS has helped me to support my school expenses, gave me the opportunity to graduate from secondary school and pursue to tertiary level education.

Thank you to the doctors who treated my late mother and the donor who helped me & my family. Without you, I am not able to stand where I am standing now.’’
