CREATE A PROFILE• Instagram allows for more

creativity in your profile picture but do be semi-professional

• Try to use the same username that you use in other social media platforms for easy find

• Use keywords in your bio

• Add your website

ADD CONNECTIONS & FRIENDS• Connect your Facebook and Twitter

account

• Go to “add friends” under settings

• It will ask if you want to follow all of your Facebook friends

• Once you follow, usually people follow back

USE HASHTAGS• Just like Twitter, use hashtags and

mentions to brand yourself and firm and to make it easier to find your content by others

• Ex. #DKMediaMatters, #DarshunSpeaks, #BizInspiration

• Make it something unique enough for yourself and Firm

• Use consistently and encourage others to search for content based on hashtags

• Ex. Guess who just joined @GTLA and about to address the crowd?! #gapol #DKMediaMatters (side picture)

CHECK SPELLING, GRAMMAR AND ACCURACY• There is no “edit” function on Instagram like Facebook. You

have to DELETE the whole post if you make a mistake.

• Read before posting. Spelling and grammar is a reflection of your brand ESP. if you’re an attorney
