Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentina The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of 48 glac-iers in the Southern Patagoian Ice Field. This ice field is the world’s third largest re-serve of fresh water. The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of only three glaciers in the area that is growing. This is one of Argen-tina’s most important tourist destinations.

Iguazú Falls are on the Iguazú River bordering Brazil and Argentina. The falls divide the river into the upper and

lower Iguazú. These falls make up the largest waterfall system in the world!

Galápagos Islands, Ecuador Located at the confluence of three ocean currents, the Galápagos are a ‘melting pot’ of marine spe-cies. Seismic and volcanic activity, combined with the isolated location, led to the development of un-usual animal life that inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection following his visit in 1835.

Machu Picchu, Peru Machu Picchu is a pre-Columbian 15th-century Inca site located 7,970 ft. above sea level. Often referred to as the "City of the Incas," it is perhaps the most familiar icon of the Inca World.

Amazon Basin The Amazon Basin is drained by the Amazon River and its tribu-taries and covers an area of about 2,900,000 sq. miles, or 40 per-cent of South America. It is home to the Amazon Rainforest, the largest rainforest in the world, covering about 2,124,000 sq. miles. The basin is located in the countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela.

Easter Island, Chile Easter Island is famous for its over 900 ex-tant monumental statues, called moai, creat-ed by the early Rapa Nui people. In recent times the island has served as a warning of the cultural and environmental dangers of overexploitation.
