Reduce the Risk of Auto BurglaryTo minimize the the chance that you may become the victim of an auto burglary, citizens should

focus on removing items from view. Taking items with you when you leave your vehicle isbest, but at a minimum remove all items from view that may remain inside your vehicle. Evenan empty recycling bag may be enough of an enticement for a burglar to think the item could

contain something of value, and cause the burglar to break in your vehicle. Remember to roll-upyour windows and lock the doors of your car when you leave it, whether it is in a parking lot, or

in your own drive way. Don’t give criminals a reason to break into your vehicle.
