3. What ideologies are attached to the brand?

Page 4: Proposal v2

The Wii is a console that appeals most to groups of friends and families that want an imaginative way to play together, so I am focusing on targeting teenagers,

both male and female.

4. Who is going to be your primary target audience and why (consider gender, social class and lifestyle categories)?

Page 5: Proposal v2

My secondary audience is going to be pre-teen girls and girls in their early teens. Boys at that age are more interested in other consoles, but girls tend to want a Wii more. Again, they will be girls in a middle-class society since games consoles can be expensive. Also, younger children will often want to do whatever the older children are doing, so having teenagers in an advert would encourage them to join in the fun.

5. Who is going to be your secondary audience and why?

I will be targeting the Self-actualization level on Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs; when playing a game, creativity and spontaneity are often needed, as well as problem solving.

6. Referring to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, which needs will you be targeting in the audience?

Warm and fuzzy Family Friends Suitable for everybody

7. Which persuasive techniques will you use in your advert to attract your audience?

Page 8: Proposal v2

I will use a few vibrant colours such as light blue, yellow and red in my advert; people’s eyes (especially children) are naturally attracted to bright colours that stand out, so using a bit of each colour will make it stand out.

8. What colours will be dominant and why (consider your audience and product)?
