ObjectiveThis is an early intervention scheme for children in the age group of 0-10 years with the four disabilities covered under the NT act that aims at providing training (specifically school readiness) and counseling to

both children and parents.

Daycare (at least 4 hours) with age specific activities; 20 days a month

GYAN PRABHA – Education

ObjectiveTo encourage people with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities for pursuing any vocational Training/ higher

education/ professional courses for enhancement of their skills.

Eligibility

• PWD undergoing Vocational Training / Graduation or PG/Prof. course

Inclusions

A recurring fixed monthly amount shall be paid for the specified courses Total duration for which amount shall be received is maximum time

allowed by the institute for the completion of the specified course or till the

time they have completed their course/Degree whichever is less. Course fee will be paid as per norms or as per actuals (whichever is

less) Amount is assumed to cover fees, transportation (conditional upon

minimum 50%attendance), books, OPEs etc.

NIRAMAYA - Health insurance

Objective To provide affordable Health Insurance to persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities

Premium to be paid by beneficiaries with family income up to Rs.15,000 pm is Rs. 250/- and with family income above Rs.15,000 pm is Rs. 500

Areas covered under this policy includes: Surgeries, hospitalization, OPD, dental prevention dentistry, therapies, alternative medicines and transportation cost

ObjectiveThis is a marketing scheme with an objective to create a viable and widespread channel for sale of products produced by PWDs

marketing/ selling products prepared by PWDs (at least 51% of those under NT act)

Incentives shall be provided for RO on sale of products prepared by disabled people on an annual basis after verification by Office of DC/DM/LLC/Social Welfare

SAHYOGI – Caregiver

ObjectiveTo support the persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities, their families and institutions (hospitals, schools, NGOs etc.) by providing a pool of skilled caregivers.

Eligibility• 18-35 years of age • Primary - min. 8th / equi.• Advanced – min 10th / equi. + Primary

Inclusions

Primary and advanced level of caregiving training ; Course(s) to be provided by ROs as per the curriculum defined by RCI Certificate and the course to be recognized

Primary course (1.5 months duration + 1.5 months on-the-job training) : orientation to areas such as the 4 areas of disabilities, family needs, health, nutrition, basic management in activities etc.

Advanced course (3 months duration + 3 months on-the-job training) : to cover modules such as Language and communication .social interactions, socio-emotional management etc.

Facilitation meeting(s) between families, institutions (hospitals, schools, educational institutes, NGOs etc.) and trained caregivers to be organized by ROs on a quarterly basis (through technology platforms)

ObjectiveTo collate and collect the Aids, Appliances, softwares etc. developed for enabling and empowering the PWDs, making them available online as well as at regional centres and also to encourage research on the same

• Area of ~1500 – 1800 sq.ft• Any RO in Mumbai, Kolkata & Bangalore can send their proposal

Inclusions

Sambhav Resource centre - 3 additional centers at Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai will be set up to provide information and access to devices, appliances, aids, softwares etc. to concerned stakeholders .

Research shall be encouraged and incentivized at these centers Research Incentive (equivalent to the value determined by National

Trust ) shall be provided to ROs to develop new aids/ devices to empower PWDs.
