This report covers prospecting carried out in November of 2000 and May of 2001 on nine
claims with claims numbers 1211250, 740551, 740552, 740553, 740554, 1211246,
1211239, 1211235, 1040487 in Mcclintock Township. The claims are recorded in the
names of Randsburg International Gold Corporation who acquired the property in May of
2000.
The claims are located 215 km. north of Toronto in Mcclintock Township in the
Southern Ontario Mining Division. See map l. The main showing is at 48 degrees 22'
and 78 degrees 51'.
The property is accessible from Highway # 11 from Huntsville then 50 km. east along
Highway # 60 then Harris Lake Road south for 3.2 .km to a logging road; then in an
easterly direction for 7.3 km. where a 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. See map 2.
A total of 4 days were spent prospecting by Michael Opara and Frank Puskas,
Professional Geologist and assisted one day on May 5 by James Lenigan, President of
Randsburg when further heavy rock samples were carried out from the property over a
distance of several kilometers.
November 3, 2001
This day was spent traversing and prospecting what is known as the South Zone, which is
one of the two principal mineral occurrences on the property. It is in claim number 740553. It is an area of old stripping and trenches, outcrops and old drill holes. See map
3.
The old drill holes, trenches and stripping were located and prospected for mineralization.
Samples 12 to 17 are from the South Zone.
The South Zone is situated within a package of rocks that are collectively called a
gabbroic layered complex. The complex consists of interbanded anorthosite-gabbros and
gabbros which are extremely difficult to separate in the field. South-southeast of the
zone an 80m. wide norite body which strikes between 020 degrees to 030 degrees can be
traced from the north shore of Grays Lake for a distance of approximately 400m.
In the South Zone there is a wide sulfide zone near the contact of a basic intrusive with
granitized gneiss. The sulphide contact is variable, ranging from disseminated to near
1000Xo isolated phases or large blebs. In these high sulfide phases, sulfide grains appear
aligned parallel and interconnected within the host gabbro. Sulfides present include
pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and pentlandite.
November 4, 2001
Walked in a northerly direction from Grays Lake alongside a ridge of Felsic Gneiss.
Several outcrops of Felsic Gneiss are located on the ridge. Then turned north-east and
located the North Zone mineral occurrence. No mineralization was seen on the way to
the North Zone.
The North Zone is located in claim 1040487. The North Zone is approximately 900m. NW of the South Zone and occurs within a gabbroic intrusive as a sulfide zone with concentrations of up to 50 07o sulphides as dissemination to blebs of pyrrhotite with l to 3
^o fine disseminated grains of chalcopyrite and pyrite. The zone appears to average 30m.
and has been trenched, stripped or test pitted at several location along its 500m. length.
The old drill holes, trenches and pits, stripped areas were traversed, located and prospected for mineralization. The North Zone is composed of the West and East portions with the West portion split into Stripped Areas A and B. The mineralized host rock was identified and is shown on Map 4.
Stripped Area B was taped and flagged and a Geological Plan begun. Samples 1-11 were taken from both Stripped Areas A and B. Geology details are shown on Map 5.
November 5, 2001
Traversed to the southern shore of Grays Lake. Located several outcrops of anorthosite
on the south shore which on claims 740551 and 740552. Then followed a trail around the
west of Grays Lake then headed east and south along the east side of Grey's Lake on claims 740552 and 740553. Located one outcrop of norite on the north side about 50 m from the lake. This norite extends to the South Zone. Prospected the shoreline. Several outcrops of anorthosite were observed along the shore. No mineralization was observed.
May 5, 2001
Prospected the South Zone for further mineralized areas. Located additional old drill holes and collected several samples numbers 12-17.
Went to the North Zone and did further mapping of Stripped Area B. Completed basic
map. See maps. Collected several large bags of samples from Areas A and B and East
part of North Zone. On return traversed and prospected claim 1211246. Several Felsic Gneiss outcrops observed. No mineralization observed.
Seven large samples were cut and polished. See photos enclosed. Assays and certificates will be forwarded in the near future for samples collected and sent for assay. Sample locations are located on maps 3 and 6.
